Structure and Mode of Action
Obsidians are volcanic, amorphous and silica-rich glass rocks, which are extracted from the area of the Glass Mountains (California, USA). Obsidian is formed when lava with a low water content cools rapidly. This prevents the formation of bubbles in the lava rock, creating a hard and robust smooth surface.
