Frequently asked questions: What should I consider before, during, and after using the infrared sauna?

End your day with a session in your infrared sauna. Using an infrared sauna is very simple. However, there are a few points that should be considered:

Hydration

Drink sufficient fluids (preferably water) before and after each use to keep the body's water balance in check. The consumption of alcohol or other consciousness-altering substances or medications should be strictly avoided.

Personal Hygiene

Take a shower before the session to sweat more intensely and feel more comfortable. This not only opens the pores and allows for more intense sweating but also prevents the body from overheating quickly.

Showering

Sauna Towel

Take a sauna towel into the infrared sauna and place it under you. The sauna towel should under no circumstances cover the infrared heaters. You can also place a second towel on the floor.

Preheating

You can preheat the infrared sauna if you wish or if the room is too cold. The infrared heaters reach their operating temperature after about 5-7 minutes, which means that from this point on, the heater-specific spectral distribution of the infrared radiation is achieved. The full intensity for the infrared application is thus available. However, the ambient air temperature heats up only indirectly, so it may take longer to reach the desired indoor air temperature.

Health

At the first signs of a cold, multiple sessions can have a positive effect as they strengthen the immune system and reduce the multiplication of pathogens. However, you should not use the infrared sauna under any circumstances if you have an acute illness.

Post-Sauna Sweating

After the session, you will continue to sweat for some time. Therefore, do not go into the shower immediately. Sit in the infrared sauna for a little longer and wait a bit. When you feel well enough, take a warm or cold shower.
