This is probably one of the questions that everyone interested in an infrared sauna asks sooner or later, and it is not easy to answer. The question should actually be: Which infrared heater or which infrared lamp is best suited for ME?
If you are looking for an infrared sauna where you can sweat healthily, cheaper flat panel heaters will usually suffice. In such an infrared sauna, the heating is similar to that in front of a tiled stove, so it is not comparable to a deep-heat infrared sauna.
However, if you also have problems with your neck, spine (e.g., after a herniated disc), lower back, shoulders, etc., an infrared sauna with built-in rod infrared heaters (magnesium oxide, ceramic, or Incoloy heaters) with a deep-heat effect is recommended.
The infrared sauna test or comparison gives you certainty: with these heaters, you have the advantage that the affected problem areas and tensions can be irradiated directly and intensively.
