Frequently asked questions: What does low temperature mean?

In an Infrared Sauna, unlike a traditional sauna, stimuli are applied to the body that lead to sweating from the inside out. This has the advantage that the indoor air temperature only needs to be heated to 35° to 45° Celsius. This leads to a gentler and more efficient treatment of the entire musculoskeletal system.

The positive effect of the low-temperature principle is scientifically proven. A renowned Austrian company has done outstanding and valuable research in the field of low-temperature infrared treatment. Current studies show a significant strengthening of the immune system, an increase in blood circulation in the skin and muscle tissue, and a distinct pain-relieving effect. Compared to pure heat treatment, the detoxification effect is increased and the metabolism is boosted.

Use of low-temperature infrared

Low-temperature infrared radiation is not only suitable for preventive treatment, but also for the treatment of acute symptoms for complaints and limitations of the spine.

In most cases, mental relaxation and an increase in well-being can also be achieved.

Mode of action

The low-temperature principle combines two modes of action:

Firstly, through the use of low-temperature infrared heaters in the IR-B and IR-C range, it is possible to achieve longer radiation times than with medical IR-A heaters, for example. The distance between the deep-heat radiators and the body surface can be reduced, which allows for a gentle increase in the core body temperature.

Secondly, the ventilation system ensures that the room temperature does not rise excessively. The ventilation slide built into the roof allows the risen warm air to be transported directly outside, keeping the cabin's internal temperature relatively low.

Low temperature in ATROPA Infrared Saunas

Due to the pleasant temperatures of the low-temperature infrared heaters, the ATROPA Infrared Saunas can also be used without hesitation by people with high blood pressure and the elderly, as there is only a low strain on the cardiovascular system, which is even strengthened with repeated use.

The ventilation can, of course, be closed, which allows for achieving a room climate and temperatures comparable to a bio-sauna and beyond.
