Frequently asked questions: What are the advantages of Full-Spectrum Heaters (IR-ABC)?

Infrared heaters that radiate in the entire infrared spectrum, i.e., in the infrared A, B, and C range, are referred to as full-spectrum heaters (so-called infrared ABC heaters). The best-known representative is probably the SOLIS® VSS® full-spectrum heater.

Advantages of full-spectrum heaters (IR-A):

+ Radiation in the entire infrared range A, B, and C

+ highest penetration depth

+ Tissue is warmed through the fastest

+ very quickly reaches operating temperature

Disadvantages of full-spectrum heaters (IR-A):

- can overload the skin of people with very sensitive skin

- for longer applications, a minimum distance of 30 cm from the eyes should be maintained

We strictly advise against full-spectrum heaters, whose intensity cannot be reduced. The strength of the radiation must be adjustable according to the well-being and needs of the user.
