Low-Temperature Infrared Radiation

ATROPA Infrared Saunas have been operating with the low-temperature principle since 2011. The then-novel technology of low-temperature infrared radiation allows for a gentler and more efficient treatment of the entire musculoskeletal system. The difference to conventional heat treatment is that the penetration depth of the infrared rays is not restricted and the room temperature is in a pleasant range from about 29°C. This means that the infrared heaters can be brought closer to the body and a longer radiation can be enjoyed.

The positive effect of the low-temperature principle is scientifically proven. A renowned Austrian company has also done excellent and valuable research in the field of low-temperature infrared treatment. Current studies show a significant strengthening of the immune system, an increase in blood circulation in the skin and muscle tissue, and a significant pain-relieving effect. Compared to pure heat treatment, the detoxification effect is increased and the metabolism is boosted.

Low-temperature infrared radiation is not only suitable for preventive treatment, but also for the treatment of acute symptoms of musculoskeletal complaints and limitations.

In addition, in most cases, mental relaxation and an increase in well-being can be achieved.

Effect on the Organism

The low-temperature principle combines two modes of action:

On the one hand, the use of low-temperature infrared heaters in the IR-B and IR-C range makes it possible to achieve longer radiation times than with medical IR-A heaters, for example. The distance between the deep heat emitters and the body surface can be reduced, which allows for a gentle increase in the body's core temperature.

On the other hand, the ventilation system ensures that the room temperature does not rise excessively. The ventilation slide integrated into the roof allows the risen warm air to be transported directly outside, keeping the cabin's internal temperature relatively low.

Due to the pleasant temperatures of the low-temperature infrared heaters, the ATROPA Infrared Sauna can also be used without hesitation by people with high blood pressure and the elderly, as there is only a low load on the cardiovascular system, which is even strengthened with repeated use.

The ventilation can, of course, be closed, which allows for a room climate and temperatures like in a bio sauna and beyond to be achieved.
